Operations Manager – AIDS Healthcare Foundation

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and integrative coordination in the planning, development and implementation of the program /health delivery systems
  • Ensures the implementation and adherence to the operating policies and procedures and participates in the review of the policies and procedures as the need arises.
  • Serves as principal point of collaboration, leadership and expertise to both internal and external constituencies on operational matters pertaining to the mission, goals , objectives and work scope of the program
  • Supports procurement and supply chain management of goods and supplies to supported health facilities
  • Provides leadership and direction to subordinate staff, constituencies and community organizations and representatives in accordance with program goals and objectives
  • Participates in annual budget development and management; monitoring of cash flow and variances in the program budget.
  • Provide technical support for constructions and renovations for the program facilities
  • Participates in interviewing, hiring, orientation and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work.
  • Manages all HR issues including leave balancing and medical insurance coverage and disciplinary procedures.
  • Coordinates all organizational events and overseas all logistics involved including transport arrangements and bookings for AHF staff coming in and leaving the country.
  • Provide guidance on program growth and expansion.
  • Mentors and guides subordinate staff in problem solving issues.
  • Participates in the General staff meetings and other various meetings as assigned and takes the lead in relevant meetings e.g. operations meetings

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and administration, social sciences, business management or public administration from a recognized college or university with 5-7 years’ experience in a field directly related to operational duties including capacity building, budget management, supplies and procurement management.

Experience working in healthcare delivery systems is and added advantage
